Why the Year Long Membership?

One of the most common questions we receive from physicians within the Incubator program is, "Why a year-long membership?" Physicians often express concern about what happens if a patient wants to stop early or if someone desires to extend treatment beyond a year. Another frequent concern is what it looks like to extend treatment over the course of a year. At Origins Incubator, many physicians we work with have found that extending memberships to a year is beneficial not only for the patients but also for the provider.

Tailored Treatment Paths

Functional medicine operates on the premise of personalized care, eschewing one-size-fits-all approaches. At the onset, patients will complete questionnaire forms and undergo testing to review possible imbalances in their internal and external environments. This initial step provides a holistic view of their health, laying the groundwork for personalized recommendations.

Following the foundational assessment, practitioners devise individualized treatment plans based on the specific needs identified. Whether it's addressing gut issues, adrenal health, hormonal imbalances, or detoxification, the treatment path is meticulously tailored to each patient.

The 12 Month Journey

A year-long membership unfolds as a journey marked by distinct phases and appointments. During the first visit, patients receive their personalized plan, which may include advanced testing and foundational supplementation. Subsequent appointments occur at intervals of approximately every eight to ten weeks, alternating between reviewing advanced testing and suggesting treatments.

Around the six-month mark, patients often experience a deeper understanding of how lifestyle choices influence their health. This phase may also unveil underlying mental health considerations as healing progresses. Concurrently, practitioners continue to fine-tune treatment strategies, responding to evolving needs and insights gleaned from ongoing assessments.

As the initial year draws to a close, practitioners engage in dialogue with patients regarding future trajectories. Options may include transitioning to a maintenance plan or continuing with further testing and treatment based on individual progress and goals. This pivotal juncture underscores the importance of collaboration and shared decision-making between provider and patient.

Embracing Flexibility

While a structured framework guides the treatment process, flexibility and personalization remain paramount. Each patient's journey unfolds uniquely, shaped by their bioindividuality and response to interventions. By fostering a supportive environment and adapting strategies as needed, practitioners empower patients to embark on a transformative path towards holistic wellness.
